Typical of me, I’ve barely blogged all week and today I give you two blog posts in one day! I guess I should have spaced them out, but I was so excited about this product after having used it, I simply couldn’t hold the review in ANY LONGER!
A few weeks ago I went to the Cult Beauty 5th b’day bash (hence all the recent Cult Beauty reviews!), and in my glorious goody bag were these diddy little solid perfume sticks by Le Soft Perfume! Now, the thing that instantly reached out to me about these sticks were that they were kind to skin, containing no alcohol or parabens. In general, this is great, but this is especially great for folk like me who can’t actually wear eau de toilette fragrances because of the alcohol content. Yup, all us sensitive skinned folk. I can only wear the much pricier eau de parfum, which understandably sucks and blows.
So the fact that I can use this without irritating my skin and it’s only priced at £19, has already won me over somewhat. However the best part about it is THE PRODUCT IS AMAZING. The scents are gorgeous and richly blended, not a hint of the cheap and nasty. And they last! Better than my eau de parfums! However even if you did feel you could do with a touch up, their oh-so portable size means they slip into any handbag as easily as a lipstick! A truly portable fragrance that will definitely become a handbag staple.
I personally love how you can get really precise, targeted application so you’re not wasting product by getting it on your hair or clothes or other unwanted places (like inside my mouth, which has happened more than once or twice).
The two scents I have (of the six currently available) are Copacabana* and Zazou*. I’m pretty rubbish at describing scents, but Copacabana is a much stronger, evening, oriental floral fragrance with top notes of Pink Peppercorn, Petit Grain and Bergamot. Zazou is much fresher and perfect for everyday with its refreshing zing of Lemon, Cypress, Grapefruit and Neroli. I love both, but of the two I’d probably reach for Zazou more often, however having said that, Copacabana lasts longer on me for some reason and definitely gets more beautiful the longer it’s worn when all the base notes of Jasmine, Violet and Orange Blossom start coming through, so opinions are starting to change! Just goes to show how they’re both gorgeous.
I think it’s fair to say Le Soft Perfume Solid Perfume Sticks are a product rave. I love these littles sticks, I probably won’t touch my spray fragrances for a long while and when it comes to everyday wear for out and about, the sprays won’t get a look in.
