Last week I was given the fantastic opportunity of a Venus Freeze Facial at House of Rush, in London. Now, facials are great and all but in general I don’t get massively excited about them, however this particular one totally enthralled me as it claimed to be the equivalent of a facelift (with a course of sessions), but non-surgically. When used on the face, it treats lines and wrinkles, loose skin with non-invasive skin tightening , fallen collagen - lifting the face, as such. This machine can be used anywhere on the body (particularly effective for cellulite), and has a host of celebs singing its’ praises, including the lovely Cara Delevingne (although at 21 I doubt she really needs it!).
I had a quick google of Venus Freeze results prior my treatment, and got suitably excited (I’d advise you all to do the same). The treatment started with a cleanse, followed with a gel applied all over my face and neck and then the Venus Freeze machine head began gently rotated around my face – I actually had to ask if it had started yet as I was expecting a little bit of pain, but it was literally nothing. If anything, it was so relaxing as the gentle heat circulating around my face helped ease muscle strain (I think I get pretty bad eye strain and as consequent brow muscle strain). The whole procedure took about 40 minutes and after I felt fantastic. I’ve had many, many facials in the past but I’ve never really enjoyed any, other than this. I left feeling relaxed and released of facial tension, which was great.
But you guys wanna know the results, right? Well, initially after leaving I hadn’t really noticed anything, other than feeling great and tension free. Perhaps my skin was looking plumper, but I really wouldn’t be able to confirm it. However the next day, when I woke up, despite having a particularly heavy night the night before, I looked in the mirror and noticed instantly that I looked really good. My face just looked plumper, smoother, and generally better. Younger. I do have a young face anyway, but I guess I hadn’t noticed how much I had aged over the years until I saw my younger self of perhaps 5 years ago looking back at me.
Regarding wrinkles and lines, etc., it’s hard to tell. My face does feel smoother certainly more plumped out and less hollow, but my lines and wrinkles under my eyes are still there. However I did only have one treatment, and a course of 3 is suggested minimum for the face to notice drastic results. Overall though, my face did look so much better, better than any results I’ve ever had from any other type of facial. Best of all, there’s no down time, your face can go a little red directly after however mine never did. Also worth mentioning, can be used on all skin tones!
The effects of this facial are allegedly meant to last two weeks, and ideally you’d get a top-up once every month. Priced at £125 per treatment, it is pricy, but if you have the extra money, I do believe the results are worth it for a special occasion. I’m actually very keen to try a full course now and really see the results. Also at the fantastic House of Rush, they do IPL, nails at Flawless Perfection Nails and now Rush Esthetics on Fridays, which includes derma fillers and the like.
